Motorcycle Safety

More often than not, motorcycle crashes are caused by drivers not the motorcyclist. Situations in which a crash will most likely occur include:

• Car making a left turn
• Motorcycle riding in a driver's blind spot
• Hazardous road conditions
• Obstructed line of sight

In order to increase driver’s awareness:

• Make yourself visible (meaning bright, reflective protective gear)
• Ride where you can be seen
• Never share a lane with a car
• Clearly signal a lane change or turn
